My life has always revolved around people, the arts and the outdoors. I was born in Dunedin and grew up in the South Island before study, travel and an eventual settle in Auckland – where I now live with my partner and three children.

For twenty years my professional career has focused on how human beings behave when they’re under pressure. I believe that whether parenting, leading, creating, relating or performing – the true calibre and character of a human being will reveal itself when a human being is out of their comfort zone. My role is to enable my clients and their teams with pragmatic strategies and habits for finding calm in the discomfort.

My first professional career was for seven years as an employment lawyer with Minter Ellison, Police and Corrections. In 2008 I switched to leadership development and strategy, and I began retraining in performance psychology and psychotherapy. I hold degrees in law, science, commerce and career development; and accreditation in a full range of psychometric instruments. I sit on the MBIE public sector panel for Human Resources, and am a professional member of HRINZ and CDANZ.
